Statement imports

Statement imports turn a bank PDF or CSV into proposed ledger records. The original statement remains available, and nothing is added to the ledger without your review.

Start an import

From a personal or business workspace, choose the account and the statement period. Upload a PDF or CSV, choose whether to review unfamiliar counterparties, and consent to processing.

One import covers one workspace account and its currency. Mones checks the statement against the account you selected before review begins.

Review the results

Mones preserves the source rows in statement order and keeps their source amounts, dates, and other evidence distinct from the editable proposal. Review the account details and any unfamiliar counterparties first, then review the proposed transactions.

Every row needs an explicit treatment:

  • Approve the proposal.
  • Amend it and approve the corrected version.
  • Match it to an existing transaction.
  • Exclude it from the ledger while keeping the source row visible.

Possible duplicates and transfers are prompts for your decision. They are not silently discarded or posted as ordinary transactions.

Finish the import

When every row has a treatment, completing the import creates ordinary ledger transactions for approved rows and keeps the source connection with them. Completion is separate from reconciliation. If the statement does not provide enough balance evidence, Mones does not invent a reconciliation result.
